Covent Garden, of which he wa co-director. He has recently concentrated more on teaching and building his current practice in
Chiddingfold, where he moved to in 2003.
Paul has taught at
The London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (LCTA), the largest institution dedicated to teaching Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in England, for ten years. He is a
Senior Lecturer and a
Clinical Supervisor on the
BSc Acupuncture course. Paul has been involved in training literally hundreds of today's acupuncturists and herbalists.

Paul is the chief presenter on
“How To Locate Acupuncture Points: The Definitive DVD”, and has been published in many magazines, such as
Yoga Monthly, Lifescape, Natural Health, CAM Magazine, the
Dragon's Tale, and the
Chinese Medicine Times.
Paul first had acupuncture in the early Eighties. He damaged his elbow doing DIY after moving house. He was an illustrator at the time and spent three painful months on anti-inflammatories and painkillers, unable to work and in excruciating agony. As he had been practicing
T’ai Chi Chuan for several years, he decided to visit an
Acupuncturist for
pain relief. His first acupuncture treatment reduced the pain by 50%, as did a follow-up treatment a few days later. He was able to resume work within a week, after three months of agony.
More importantly, acupuncture made Paul feel very different. He became a lot calmer and focused,
less stressed and irritable than he had been previously. After a few years it had brought about such a
profound change in his outlook that he decided to change career and retrain as an Acupuncturist.

Paul worked as a self-employed illustrator for fifteen years before re-training as an Acupuncturist. He worked primarily on children’s educational magazines and comic books. He worked for
Marvel, DC and
Dark Horse comics, drawing and painting such titles as
Batman,
Judge Dredd and
Aliens.
Much of his work is still in print, and you can buy collected editions of his work in specialist comic-book shops throughout the world. He has a page dedicated to him in Wikipedia and his work has been reprinted in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Argentina.
